Review: Dead as Gold

Dead as Gold Dead as Gold by Bonnie Burke-Patel
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dead As Gold is a novel that twists gothic, fairy tales and crime together in a way that leaves you hooked from the very first page as you follow the Goldsmith, Adam through his small workshop, to Ophelia who turns up on his doorstep to sell her small pieces of gold, things which connect her to her mother, from the moment of her arrival, things start to change around Adam and his workspace, gold goes missing but money is left in return, faces start to appear in his windows and then an unwanted gift is sent to him through the mail, leaving him feeling skittish and weary.

Bonnie Burke-Patel has taken normal words and has woven them together to create a master piece that will stay with you for a while after finishing the book itself.
