Review: Whistle in the Dark

Whistle in the Dark Whistle in the Dark by Emma Healey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Packed with intrigue, Whistle in the Dark is a novel that boarders on the edfe of a thriller and a horror and the Gothic when the young Lana has gone missing for four days while on holiday with her mum before being found, leaving a mountain of questions in the wake.

Just where had Lana been for those four days?

As time goes on without answers, Jen is despite to know where her daughter has been, of what happened to her, but along the way, she starts to wonder more about other things, of how her daughters seems to be changing in front of her eyes. But is there something more sinister going on with Lana that Jen doesn't see?

The Whistle in the Dark is the first book that I've read from the author Emma Healey. I enjoyed the style of her writing and the tense moments in which she creates on the pages. She is an author who I will certainly pick up another book from in the future.
