Review: Gemina

From the very first page of Illuminae to the very last page of Gemina, you are thrown in to one big universe of adventure, heartache, joy, sadness and a whole bunch of other emotions that send you yelling down at the pages of the book.
For the second time, Amie Kaufman and Jay kristoff has woven a tale of adventure and heart trembling action that has you glued to every single page of the book, never mind the size of it, over 600 pages, once you start reading it, the number of pages seem to just disappear and you are left intrigued with the lives of everyone aboard the Heimdall. From the high strung daughter of the captain, Hanna, down to the trouble maker and notorious crime family member , Nik. We are taking on an adventure that gets your blood bumping and your eyes widening as you read through their lives aboard the jump station.

The authors weave a web of adventure so well, that you forget all about anything else around you and you are drawn in to each page, no matter how the layout is presented. Again, the layout is something else that should be praise to high heavens as it helps to break up a long book and gives you more enjoyment as it pulls you in to the story line and you get to mentally visualize the two running around the ship, hiding from the bad guys and the things that they go through just to survive.
We see returning characters from the first book briefly within Gemnia, which helps tie it altogether. Although, at first it does seem like you could just read Gemnia without reading Illuminae first, but it soon comes apparent that if you were to do so, you would feel a little lost within so many pages.

I just know that the third and final installment of the trilogy will be just as exciting and as action packed as the first two and I can't wait to get stuck in to it and to recommend this series to anyone who is wanting to leave earth for a few hours.
